The mission of The Base Label is to combine style with local identity
Our story begins in the heart of Slovenia, where every idea takes shape. The Base Label collections are designed and manufactured in collaboration with our factories located in Slovenia (Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Ivančna Gorica and Murska Sobota).
We are focused on creating quality, long-lasting pieces that are responsibly sourced and ethically produced. We are committed to transparency in our design process, which is why we want to open the doors of our factories and give you a glimpse into our production process.

Knitwear production
Our clothes are mostly knitwear, made in a boutique knitting studio in Slovenia. The studio, run by two sisters with many years of experience, has been operating since 1926. Their clients include well-known Slovenian fashion brands.
Production of T-shirts and casual clothing
The company that makes most of our clothing (excluding knitwear) specializes in casual wear, shirts, dresses, pants, and similar items. It is a family-owned business that maintains high ethical standards and integrity throughout the supply chain. Their proximity, just half an hour's drive from Ljubljana, allows us to work closely to ensure fair pay, safe working conditions, and sustainable practices.
Production of blazers and trench coats
The tailoring studio in Prekmurje is synonymous with masterful craftsmanship and top quality. With their many years of expertise, they have become leaders in the production of jackets and coats, which has earned them the reputation of being the best tailors in the country. They have also created custom-made suits for celebrities from the entertainment industry.
Swimsuit production
By collaborating with a small sewing company in Tržič, we support local craftsmanship and realize the values of sustainable and ethical production. Our very limited swimwear collection reflects the conscious consumption we strive for.
